About Us

My Sister’s Books has been a staple for locals and vacationers since opening its doors in October 2002. In addition to our wide selection of new and pre-loved books in every genre, we carry a unique and eclectic array of titles penned by local talent ranging from history and mystery to haunting local legends. We also have puzzles, crafts, greeting cards, games, treats, gifts, and so much more. We strive to provide a welcoming place for browsing and we love seeing people smile as they uncover cherished treasures.

Giving back to the community is important to new owners, Lyn and Rich Rumage, who purchased My Sister’s Books in early 2025. So FUNdraising shenanigans that bring support and awareness to local nonprofits are a regular occurrence at the store. We appreciate our loyal customers that help us stay open all year long, as well as our diehard visitors that come back year after year. Our goal is for you to be able to take a bit of Pawleys’ charm with you, no matter where you call home.
