💛 About the Contest
In honor of Random Acts of Kindness Week (February 15th – February 20th), My Sister’s Books & Gifts is inviting students to participate in a Kindness-themed creative contest designed to promote empathy, positive behavior, and literacy.
This contest is:
- Free to enter
- Age-appropriate
- Flexible for classrooms
- No purchase required
✏️ Contest Categories by Grade Level
Pre-K – Kindergarten
🎨 “Kindness Looks Like…”
Students create a drawing showing an act of kindness, with a simple sentence explaining their picture.
Grades 1–2
📘 “A Small Act Can Make a Big Difference”
Students submit a short, illustrated story or poster about kindness.
Grades 3–5
📝 “Kindness in Action”
Students complete a kindness challenge (acts of kindness + reflection) or write a short essay or poem.
Middle School (6–8)
📣 “Kindness Is Contagious”
Students create a poster, essay, poem, or short video encouraging kindness at school or in the community.
High School (9–12)
🌍 “Kindness That Creates Change”
Students submit an essay or project idea showing how kindness can make real-world impact.
🏆 Prizes & Recognition
- Age-group winners receive books and gift cards
- Winning entries may be displayed in-store or featured on social media
- One participating school may receive a bookstore gift or classroom library support

- Contest Window: During Random Acts of Kindness Week (February)
- Submission Deadline: February 20, 2026
- Winners Announced: February 27, 2026
Teachers may submit classroom finalists or school-wide selections.
